Planning and managing the white tie Inaugural Ball to celebrate the opening of the new Grand Rapids Art Museum.

Strategic planning, special events and community relations

I love our team. They’re like my second family. I also enjoy the variety of work and all of the incredible people we get to meet.

What’s the purpose? What are you trying to accomplish?

Who is your most admired leader and why?
My dad. He has been a wonderful mentor, helping me to build a solid business background and, even more important, helping me to understand the difference between managing and leading people.

How do you define success?
Happy clients. Getting results. Learning something new.

What is your general philosophy on life and work?
One word…balance (although, I often ask myself if there is such a thing)

What are your favorite sports or recreational activities?
Fishing, golf, gardening, basketball, tennis. Is reading considered recreational?

Pizza and ice cream

Chocolate chip cookies, martinis @ Bistro

What is an interesting “factoid” about yourself?
I love to ride with my husband on our Harley. One of our favorite trips was touring Colorado on our bike.
