Please give a brief description of your greatest PR or business accomplishment:
In accounting, my greatest business accomplishment came from an opportunity to be a part of an acquisition due diligence team. After identifying a company that was not doing well financially, we conducted a thorough assessment and determined that there were many opportunities for improvement. We took what we believed was a calculated risk and bought the company. Our assessment that the company was a “diamond in the rough” was accurate and we were able to turn the operation into a profitable venture.
On the PR side, I’m most proud of being part of the two-person team that wrote the application for MBPA’s “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” S&A won!
What do you see as your primary area of expertise?
Putting the numbers puzzle together, tying together all the details and sharing those with our account managers so they can manage projects profitably and maximize our client service. I also enjoy anticipating our future challenges and projecting our client billings, workload, staffing needs and the effects of all these factors on service to our clients.
What do you love most about SeyferthPR?
The people – from the top down: their creativity, their senses of humor, their commitment to customer service and quality as well as their commitments to each other. It truly is a team environment.
What is the expression you use most often at work?
“What’s the budget?” Since I work with communications experts, they tend to shy away from numbers. But I tell them that a budget is a communication tool that is just as important as the plan, proposal or news advisory.
Who is your most admired leader and why?
Moses. He devotedly followed God’s plan to reach the Promised Land. He led God’s people for 40 years, wandering in the desert, and then was denied his goal. He died before reaching the Promised Land. He was the ultimate example of accepting life’s disappointments. It is what we all, in this time of change and economic turmoil, will need to learn.
