What do you see as your primary area of expertise?
Thinking like a reporter. It’s a thought process that will haunt my existence, but it certainly comes in handy!
What do you love most about SeyferthPR (two sentences or less)?
The way people can laugh at themselves, the competitive commentary on college football and the amount of business we contribute to Jimmy John’s on a weekly basis.
What is the expression you use most often at work?
“Count it done.”
Who is your most admired leader and why?
Jesus. His revolutionary teaching of loving God and loving others is still strong 2,000 years later. And when people truly live out his teachings, communities are changed from the bottom up – helping those most in need for no other motivation than love. I find the whole concept pretty incredible.

What is the company you most admire and why?
CB DeKorne Cutting Tools Inc. – yes, I admit, a family company. However, as a small business catering to auto manufacturing in West Michigan and Detroit, it deserves admiration for struggling to evolve with the auto industry through the past 75 years.
How do you define success?
Contentment
What is your general philosophy on life and work?
Find your passions and go!
What are your favorite sports or recreational activities?
I love road trips, campfires, Michigan State football, all things theater, reading, concerts and family dinners. I claimed to be a runner until I graduated from childhood and started a 40-hour-a-week job. Needless to say, I hope to pick up my running shoes again soon.
What is your favorite movie?
Robin Hood: Men in Tights. I start tearing up from laughter as early as the introduction.
What is your favorite food?
Chicken enchiladas made with corn tortillas topped with salsa verde and real Mexican sour cream (can you tell I’m hungry?)
What is your greatest vice?
Plain coffee with a dab of milk. It’s the reason I get out of bed in the morning.
What is an interesting “factoid” about yourself?
I was a part of a team to carry three of our handicapped peers to the top of Mt. Olympus in Greece. According to people in the small town at the foot of the mountain, it was a first. |
