We create conversations.
n 1984, at the age of 26, Ginny Seyferth had a vision. She imagined a thriving Grand Rapids community; a city where business prospers and servant leaders flourish. Support Grand Rapids Public Schools and get some cardio in before Thanksgiving dinner! The 23rd annual Turkey Trot, sponsored by Blue Care Network of Michigan, is at 8 a.m. Thursday. The race supports GRPS athletics and offsets the costs of pay-to-play sports for the more than 6,000 kindergarten through grade 12 student athletes.
Today, Nov. 24 is #MichiganAdoptionDay. SeyferthPR Vice President Eileen McNeil shares the story of how she came to be a foster and eventually adoptive parent:
"Foster care does not typically get great PR. My perspective on this completely changed 2 1/2 years ago when my husband and I took a call from Lutheran Social Services asking if we could take a little boy into our home – immediately – as in three hours. And that is simply the best decision we have ever made in our lives, for our family, and our extended families."
